This month the Career and Technical Education Department at Proctor High School collaborated with the school’s NJROTC program to design and create a new command board. CTE teachers, Dennis Prior and Colin Douglass planned the project and selected the most effective design approach, utilizing modern design software and advanced technology to develop a detailed plan. The board was produced in the Construction Technology Lab where teachers used the CNC machine and worked through a series of refinements to achieve the desired result. After the fabrication, the team completed the project by staining and lacquering the board. Finally they installed corner trim, created custom decals and securely mounted each frame, resulting in a high-quality finished product that supports the NJROTC program.
