On September 21, Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary welcomed guest speaker and speed painter Tom Varano for his interactive presentation, Emotion Into Art™.
Tom, who relocated from upstate New York to Houston, Texas, regularly addresses corporate audiences at organizations like Disney and MGM Resorts, alongside his ongoing philanthropic work for first-responder and veteran support groups.
His visit featured a live speed-painting session, resulting in several original pieces that have been donated to MLK Elementary for permanent display. The event concluded with an uplifting message encouraging students to value themselves, remain hopeful, and relentlessly pursue their goals.
