Third graders at Columbus had a great time on their recent field trip to the NY Energy Zone! This interactive experience introduced students to the exciting world of electricity and highlighted New York State’s role in powering communities. Through interactive exhibits, students explored the history of electricity and the future of the energy grid. They built circuits, designed power plants, experimented with solar and wind energy, and even tried out a control room simulation and virtual drone flight over power lines.
